Chef Jimmy Perides graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts. The dynamic chef has trained with Master Chef Nino D’urso at four star Italian Restaurant, Capriccio, in Providence, Rhode Island. He further increased his experience after training under Chef “Molto Mario” Batali at New York City’s famous Italian Restaurant, Babbo. After interning at Café de Artistes, Chef Jimmy trained internationally at Trefonti Trattoria in Asiago, Italy under Chef Riccardo.

In 2002, Chef Jimmy took over the kitchen at his family’s Bergen County NJ restaurant.. He has just recently updated the rather large menu and continues to please his customers with delicious pasta, chicken, steak and veal dishes making Biagio's one of the most popular restaurants in Bergen County New Jersey.

Chef Jimmy also expresses his creativity by offering unique daily specials. Through his vision of expanding the banquet facilities, he has shown his versatility by taking over the ala carte and catering kitchens.

Chef Jimmy’s passion has developed beyond the art of gastronomy. His expertise in wines ensures that his customers’ meals are complimented with the perfect glass or bottle of wine. He has visited various wineries in Napa and Sonoma Valley, Tuscany, Italy and Epernay, France. During his tours, he met with various winemakers and distributors to gain a better understanding of the wines within each region. These experiences have influenced Chef Jimmy’s extensive and newly updated wine list at Biagio’s Ristorante.
